I'm currently unemployed, which means I can't do what I love: traveling the world. Not being able to afford a trip this year made me realize two things. First of all, how incredibly lucky I've been to be able to travel so much
over the last couple of years. And second of all how much I miss the excitement of exploring new worlds, meeting loads of people and doing all kinds of new fun crazy things.
Some of the best food I ever had was this noodle soup in Chiang Mai, Thailand |
One of my favorite things about traveling is trying as many kinds of new foods as possible. Two days ago my best friend went off to Bali for a month. Even though I'm really happy for her, it started me thinking of how jealous I am of all the amazing food she'll be eating over there. That's when it struck me: there's no reason why I can't have the same experience!
1. I have a kitchen,
2. I know how to cook and
3. I’ve got access to an internet full of recipes!
Et voila! I can travel the world from my kitchen!
That's why I decided to to start this project: Around the world in 80 dishes!
Over the next months I'm going to cook 80 recipes from all over the world. I'll keep them as authentic, simple, and delicious as possible. I want to cook well known recipes, but also hope to find some hidden gems.
You can follow my culinary journey on this blog, and travel along if you like!

Bon Voyage!
